WordPress organizes every media file that you upload to your website into a Media Library. This is a section within the WordPress admin where you can access all of the media files available on your website.
The Media Library enables you to preview images, videos, and audio files. WordPress also supports other file types for uploading, including PDFs, .doc, and .ppt files. However, the library only enables you to preview common media files.
You can change the layout of the Media Library to display files in a list or a grid. The library also includes a search feature and several filtering options.
