In past versions of WordPress, Press This a was a tool built into the Content Management System (CMS). Its goal was to provide you with a quick way to “grab” parts of other websites, including text, images, and video, and republish them on your site as posts.
Since WordPress 4.9, Press This was removed as a built-in tool in WordPress core. Now it’s a plugin that you can install, enabling you to add a bookmarklet to your browser. The bookmarklet runs a script that sends the text, videos, and images you select to WordPress and saves the content as a draft.
