When we launched our new VPS plans in June, many customers chose a base OS so they could build exactly what they wanted. Today, we’re expanding the VPS App Library with five new one-click options: Hermes Agent, plus Ubuntu 26.04 LTS, AlmaLinux 10, Rocky Linux 9, and Rocky Linux 10.
Choose any of them while provisioning a new server and it’ll be installed and ready as soon as your VPS comes online.
Meet Hermes Agent: An AI Agent That Lives on Your Server
Most AI tools forget everything the moment you close the tab. Hermes Agent doesn’t.
Built by Nous Research, Hermes Agent is an open source, autonomous AI agent designed to run on your own infrastructure. Install it on your VPS and it becomes an always-on assistant that remembers your projects, keeps context between sessions, and continues working even after you close your laptop.
- Persistent memory: Hermes Agent remembers context across sessions, so your projects, preferences, and previous work are still there the next time you return.
- Reusable skills: When Hermes Agent solves a complex problem, it saves that solution as a reusable skill. Skills are stored as readable files on your server, making them easy to inspect, edit, or reuse.
- Access from anywhere: Connect Telegram, Discord, Slack, WhatsApp, Signal, email, and more. Start a task from your phone and receive the results in the same chat.
- Scheduled automation: Set up recurring jobs like daily briefings, report generation, or routine checks, then let Hermes Agent handle them automatically.
- Bring your own model: Hermes Agent works with Anthropic, OpenAI, Google, OpenRouter, or self-hosted models. Switch providers whenever you want and choose the one that fits your workflow and budget.
Hermes Agent connects to AI models through APIs, so it doesn’t need a large amount of compute on its own. Even our entry-level VPS plans have plenty of resources to run it.
Because everything runs on infrastructure you control, your data, the agent’s memory, and the skills it creates all stay on your server. You decide how it’s configured, where it connects, and how it’s used.

Four New OS Images
Customers asked for more OS choices, and we’re adding four more to the VPS App Library.
- Ubuntu 26.04 LTS: The latest long-term support release of the world’s most widely used server OS. It includes five years of standard security updates and is a great starting point if you want the newest packages on a stable foundation.
- AlmaLinux 10: A community-owned, enterprise-grade Linux distribution that’s fully compatible with Red Hat Enterprise Linux 10 and supported through 2035. It’s well-suited for production workloads where stability matters.
- Rocky Linux 9: A proven enterprise Linux release built for bug-for-bug compatibility with Red Hat Enterprise Linux and supported through 2032.
- Rocky Linux 10: The latest major Rocky Linux release, featuring the Linux 6.12 kernel and support through 2035. It’s a solid choice for new deployments you expect to run for years.
These additions expand the App Library, giving you more choices when you provision a new VPS.

Choose your app or OS image while provisioning your server, and it’ll come preinstalled from day one.
Getting started only takes a few steps:

- Add a VPS, choose Hermes Agent or your preferred OS image, and set your login method.
