OpenClaw 2.0 moves more of that setup into the conversation. You can start chatting with your assistant, then tell it which channels, skills, and automations you want to add.
When you choose OpenClaw from the VPS App Library:
- OpenClaw is installed and running before you first log in.
- Your VPS comes with its own domain, and the certificate is handled automatically.
- You can connect a Claude or ChatGPT subscription, use an API key, or run a local model.
- You can configure channels, skills, and automations by chatting with your assistant.

Use OpenClaw From Your Browser
The browser app has been rebuilt for OpenClaw 2.0 and now opens straight into a conversation. You can use the assistant without spending your day in SSH managing the installation behind it.
Your VPS has its own domain and a working certificate, so the browser app is available from your phone or your computer. You can pick up a conversation, check on a task, or adjust the setup while you’re standing in line at the grocery store.
Share a Session With Your Team
OpenClaw 2.0 also adds shared sessions. Someone else can jump into the same conversation, see the work already completed, and continue from there without asking you for a full recap.
For example, you might ask OpenClaw to set up a deployment. A teammate joins later, sees how it was configured, and realizes the project should use PostgreSQL instead of SQLite. They can request the change in the existing session and keep the task moving.

Your server will stay on its current version until you upgrade it. Because VPS is self-managed, you decide when that happens.

Need a Different Server Setup?
You can now reset a VPS from the DreamHost panel and choose a new operating system or app. You’ll keep the same plan, IP address, billing cycle, and price, with no need to cancel the server or go through checkout again.
Resetting permanently deletes the server’s current data and configuration; make sure you back up anything you want to keep first.
