TL;DR: Remixer now produces more consistent initial builds, completes domain setup in the background and brings you back to the right project when you reload the editor.
You have a site to build, and Remixer’s job is to keep things moving while you decide what makes it yours. This week’s release sharpens the instructions behind initial builds and adds a little more polish to editing and publishing.
More consistent initial builds
Every new Remixer site begins with a detailed set of instructions about the tools, files and project requirements involved.
We refined 15 areas within those instructions, including helper references, file imports, project requirements and page dimensions. The updated instructions went through more than 9,200 prompt combinations, along with live builds and follow-up edits.
These refinements help Remixer produce a more consistent first build for you to work with.
Domain setup continues while you work
When you connect a DreamHost domain, Remixer lets you continue within seconds and completes the setup in the background.
Activation typically takes five to 10 minutes. A “Domain Setup in Progress” notice keeps you informed, and Remixer prepares the security certificate before traffic moves to the new setup.
While Remixer handles the DNS paperwork, you can keep working on the parts of your site your visitors will see.
Your project stays in view
Reloading the editor now brings you right back to the project you were already working on.
Custom cursor styling also remains active on your site while the regular pointer stays visible over Visual Editor controls. Your cursor can keep doing its thing, and the editing tools remain easy to use.
Domain removal and relinking now support more configurations with more reliable handling of the associated domain records.
For sites that accept payments, Remixer also generates Stripe checkout code using our optimized SDK. It supports existing Stripe prices as well as custom amounts for donations and tips.
Give that idea a URL
The website in your head is ready for a URL. Tell Remixer about it and see what it builds. Your first 30 days are free, and you won’t need a credit card.
