Close the Tab. Your Site Keeps Building.

TL;DR: Remixer now builds your site on our servers, so walking away from your browser no longer cancels the work. This release also brings improvements across media uploads, ecommerce, contact forms, custom domains, and everyday editing.

You asked Remixer to build you a site. It started working, and then you sat there watching a progress indicator, afraid to close your laptop.

You don’t have to do that anymore.

Remixer’s AI generation now runs on our servers instead of inside your browser tab. Start a build, close the tab, go get lunch, and come back. The work will continue without you. You can refresh the page, switch apps, put your laptop to sleep, or check in from your phone while you’re on the go. Your browser is simply where you check on a build that keeps running in the background.

Moving generation to the server also makes builds more reliable. Design instructions for your first build remain available throughout the process, completed work is preserved if a later step runs into trouble, and clearer status messages let you know when a build needs another try.

Easier Stripe and Shippo setup

We’ve improved how Remixer connects with Stripe and Shippo, addressing issues that could prevent some stores from completing their payment or shipping setup correctly. Valid Stripe credentials are now recognized as expected, connection controls activate once a key is added, and available Shippo shipping options appear during checkout. If a connection can’t be completed, Remixer now provides a clear explanation so you know what to address.

Contact forms you can count on

Contact forms are now more reliable after a site rebuild or settings change. Submissions are preserved even if a visitor auto-reply encounters a problem, sender verification stays current, and attachment limits remain consistent throughout the process. If a requested form setting can’t be applied, you’ll see that feedback directly in the editor.

Custom domains get their certificates

Bare domains, the ones without a “www” in front, could not reliably get an SSL certificate before. The check we ran did not account for how those domains are configured. We rebuilt that process so properly configured custom domains can now receive valid HTTPS certificates with or without “www.”

A few more improvements

  • Edits to text, images, formatting, and multilingual sites now remain exactly as saved.
  • Animated headings are easier to edit. You can select and update the complete heading instead of working with individual characters.
  • Every existing project without a readable staging address now gets one automatically, completing the branded staging URLs we launched last month.
  • Media library uploads stay with the correct project, and paging works properly for larger libraries.
  • Storage buckets can display more than 50 items using the “Load more” button.
  • API keys can be rotated by saving a new secret over the existing one.
  • Unsent chat drafts survive a page reload, previews update after infrastructure changes without a hard refresh, and connected production domains appear in Publish right away.
  • Firefox keeps chat and preview scrolling separate, and the Windows file picker stays responsive when you select a file type during an image upload.
