What is the WordPress Settings Menu?

The Settings tab contains options for configuring settings for different sections on WordPress. Log in to your WordPress dashboard and select Settings from the left sidebar. There are options for General, Writing, Reading, Discussion, Media, Permalinks, and more if you have plugins installed.


More About the WordPress Settings Menu

The General settings in WordPress includes options to set your site title, tagline, and address. It also contains general configuration settings for your site, such as your time zone.

The Writing tab has settings for post formatting and category options. Furthermore, in the Reading settings, you can determine how many posts to show per page, what RSS items to display, and whether users can see a full text or summary.

The Discussion settings let you set specifications for the comments section and options related to linking posts. You can manage image sizes, cropping options, and other related settings in the Media settings. Finally, Permalinks is where you can set the structure of your URL.
