TLDR: Remixer can read your documents now. Hand it a PDF, CSV, Markdown, or text file and it builds from what it finds inside. This release also adds a per-project Media Library, permanent links for your stored files, and real site generation from your phone, plus the usual round of fixes and improvements.
Most people who need a website already have the contents of it written down somewhere. A menu. A price list. A program description. Until now, Remixer made you retype all of that into a chat box.
Hand Remixer a document and let it read
Upload a PDF, CSV, a Markdown file, or a plain text file, and Remixer reads the contents while it builds. A restaurant can drop in its menu and get a menu page. A design agency can hand over its service list. A nonprofit can pass along its program description.
Remixer parses the file during generation, so it is reading your document rather than hosting it. Your site gets the content, not an embedded attachment.
A Media Library that knows which project it belongs to
Before this release, Remixer only tracked images, and it tracked them against your account rather than your project, so everything you had ever uploaded turned up in one pile. There is now a single library for images, video, audio, and documents, kept separate per project. If you are building three sites, you get three libraries.
Links that stop expiring
Files you keep in Remixer Cloud Storage used to be served through temporary links that died after fifteen minutes, which made them close to useless for anything you wanted to send someone. Files in public buckets now get permanent URLs, and there is a “Copy URL” button right in the Storage interface. Paste it in an email, a download button, or a newsletter, and it will still work next month.
Fewer round trips, bigger uploads
Connecting or switching a domain used to send you out of Remixer, back to DreamHost account control panel and back. Domain settings now live in Remixer’s “Settings” tab. Image uploads used to fail above 6 MB, which is smaller than a lot of phone photos, and now accept up to 25 MB.
And twenty fixes
The ones most likely to have annoyed you: publishing no longer gets stuck with a grayed-out button or a phantom “unpublished changes” badge, the visual editor stops reverting your saved changes, page switching works on sites that use hash-based routing, blank generations are resolved, and Google login no longer returns a page of raw XML on live sites. You can also edit robots.txt through the AI now, and preview domains block search engines by default so half-finished sites stay out of Google.
