What is font-style?

A font-style property in CSS determines the styling of a particular font. It gives the font-family value a normal, italic, or oblique face.

More About font-style

You can specify the font-style CSS property with a few different keywords. The font-family can be set as normal, italic, oblique, or oblique .

With a normal value, the text will appear as its usual font, with no styling effects. An italic value makes the text more cursive and sloped, with less horizontal space. Finally, the oblique font-style is similar to italics, but it is simply a sloped version of the normal text.

If there is no italic version of the text, it will use an oblique value and vice versa. When neither can be used, the selected style is artificially simulated.
